Nearly There!

So, we’re nearly there! John and the Phoenix Kitchen team have delivered the last couple of under counter fridges today and Johnny and his team are booked in next week to do the last bits of plumbing and wiring. Michael, James and the team from TDC have been in to install our massive TV that we’ll be using for film screenings, video conferencing, online presentations and Saturday afternoon football scores. Ian, Dave, Mick and the Whitehead’s team have put the finishing touches to our incredible front terrace. Over at 93ft, Amber who designed the interior of the site has been working hard on graphics for the windows which we’ll have more information on in next week. I’ve just shared these pictures with the Blend Kitchen team on the WhatsApp group we use to keep them updated. Me and the Blend Kitchen team are absolutely blown away!  After spending the best part of 10 years working in the voluntary sector where generally the buildings organisations work from are far from accessible and in need of investment and renovation, to have this incredible space to work from is a real privilege. As such, I’d like to say a massive thank you to Twinkl for their backing and for letting us transform this space in their building, Justin Rowntree for doing an incredible job managing and coordinating the team to undertake the fit out, to Caz Hanson for putting up with me working more hours than any one should and all the trades people, funders and supporters for helping get us to this position.
